We swap your flat for the spare you have on board.

  • I have a flat and a spare in the trunk
  • I cannot get the wheel offA stripped lug is extra work, quoted on site before anything starts.
  • I have no spareThen this is not the job. Call and we will say so straight away.

On the job

What actually happens

We come to you, take the flat off, and fit the spare that came with your vehicle. We torque the lug nuts properly and check the spare is holding air before you drive away. This is a swap, not a repair — we fit your spare so you can get somewhere a tire can be repaired or replaced. You need a usable spare on board. If a lug nut is stripped or seized, that can be handled as an add-on, quoted on site before any extra work starts. Remember that a compact or "donut" spare has speed and distance limits set by the manufacturer. Check the sticker on the spare.

Conditions

What has to be true before we drive out

You supply
  • A usable spare tire, plus the jack and lug wrench if your vehicle carries them
We need
  • You need a usable spare on board. We do not carry replacement tires.
  • This is a wheel swap, not a puncture repair.
  • Stripped or seized lug nuts are a separate add-on, quoted on site before we start.

The form

What we ask when you request it

Your answers decide which equipment comes out with us. An accurate one gets the job done in one visit.

  1. Do you have a usable spare tire?Required

Often under the trunk floor, or mounted underneath on trucks and SUVs.

Yes · Not sure — I have not checked · No, I do not have one

  2. Which wheel is flat?

Front left · Front right · Rear left · Rear right · More than one · Not sure

  3. Are any lug nuts damaged, stripped or locked?

If so we may need the stripped lug removal add-on. We will quote it on site before starting.

No, they look fine · Yes, at least one is damaged · I have locking lug nuts · Not sure

We also ask where the vehicle is, a few details about it, and a name and number to reach you on. Sharing your location is optional; typing an address works just as well.

Conditional work

Just one add-on can come up on this job

Not part of the base price, and not something that gets added quietly.

Stripped Lug Removal
$35 per wheel
Removal of a damaged, stripped or seized lug nut so the wheel can come off. Quoted and agreed on site before any extra work starts — it is never added automatically.
You are told the cost at the vehicle, and the job carries on only if you say yes. Decline it and it is not on the bill.

After you send it

What happens next

  1. It reaches us

Your request is saved with a reference and a link you can come back to.

  2. A person picks it up

The status says accepted only once somebody has accepted it, not when a message was sent.

  3. We drive out

The status moves to on the way, then arrived, as it happens.

  4. The job is done

You get the completion note and pay directly, at the vehicle.

RoadResQ is roadside assistance, not an emergency service. If anyone is hurt, or the vehicle is in a live traffic lane, call 911 first and get somewhere safe. What to do while you wait

Questions

Asked before people send a request

All questions
  • How do I request help?

Tap RESQ NOW anywhere on the site. You share your location, tell us what is wrong and a little about your vehicle, and leave a contact number. It takes about a minute and you do not need an account. If you would rather talk to a person, call us.

  • Do I need an account?

No. You can request help as a guest and track it from the link we give you.

  • How do I pay?

Payment is arranged directly with us at the time of service. We do not collect card details through this website.

  • Are your prices fixed?

The price shown for each service is the base price for that job, and it is the price you confirm when you send the request. If something on site means extra work — a stripped lug nut, for example — we tell you what it costs and you decide before we start. Nothing gets added without you agreeing to it.
